4 February – 5 February
Pictures of the Copper Coast will speak for themselves better than I can…
Fast forward to arriving in Cork and instantly finding a pub to watch the 6 Nations Rugby game. We lucked out getting a table in the second half and watched sadly as Scotland pummeled Ireland.
Post game we wandered around Cork and found Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral. This cathedral has insane detail and the beautiful architecture was designed by Victorian architect William Burges.
The late afternoon was spent exploring the city a bit more but we didn’t nearly have enough time to see Cork – a huge downside to weekend jaunts.
We drove in the dark again to Cobh (pronounced Cove) for our accommodation of the night. We stayed in the fabulous Bella Vista Hotel – I know sounds extravagant – I swear it wasn’t but the view was.

Seriously if you’re into romantic getaways or tiny cute towns this is the place for you. I’m not kidding, there was ONE place to get coffee on a Sunday morning.
Ready for a castle filled Sunday!
